My charity exists to provide relief for people who suffer from distress, marginalisation, social or economic disadvantage, misfortune, or helplessness due to living with a disability.

Employment barriers

People with disabilities experience various barriers to employment, such as discrimination in the workplace, stigma, prejudice, and stereotypes.

Just over half in labour force

Compared with 84% or 11.8 million without a disability, just over half – 53%, or 1.1 million – working age people with a disability are in the labour force.

Unemployed long-term

In 2017, 29% of long-term unemployed Australians had disabilities. Long-term unemployment on its own puts people at a disadvantage, as they lack recent work experience and references.

WHAT DO MY INCREDIBLE
SUPPORTERS
HAVE TO SAY?

Timberly Williams

Genius mind. Gigantic heart.

Both inspirational and aspirational to anyone worrying about what the post Covid-19 world holds for them. Tom sees the opportunities and is busy creating his own future and by doing so is a beacon of hope in a new world - a world where we have the opportunity to change the way we live and work; to be a more caring, inclusive, tolerant and compassionate global society.

Dedicated… with plenty of zeal

I met Tom in the street about a year ago now and have been collecting bottles for him ever since. It’s a great opportunity to support him as he is really a dedicated young man with plenty of zeal, having a ‘go’ at life. Well done Tom!!

His joy for life is contagious…

I have known Tom for many years and he always has a big smile on his face! His joy for life is contagious and he is a true inspiration for overcoming major scoliosis spinal surgery. He is dedicated and an extremely hard worker - I could not recommend him enough.
