10 cent containers are bottles or cans that feature a 10c marking* - which means they are included in the container deposit scheme. The container deposit scheme gives a 10 cent refund for every eligible 10c bottle or can that is returned to container collection sites / recycling depots.
*Manufacturers of wine and spirits in Queensland have until January 2027 to stamp their labels with the 10-cent refund symbol. Eligible glass wine and spirit bottles may be returned for a refund without the 10-cent mark during this grace period.
