CONTAINERS

Save your containers, drop
them off, and all day long you’ll
have good luck!

My charity is a volunteer-run organisation.

Me and mum do most of the work, but we are still volunteers,
meaning...
we LOVE any help we can get!

HELP ME MAKE YOUR CONTAINERS COUNT

STEP 1

Save your eligible 10 cent containers, don’t let them go to landfill!

I’m eligible now, save me!

In Queensland, most aluminium, glass, plastic, steel and liquid paperboard beverage containers between 150ml and 3L are eligible.

Eligible containers must:

  • Be included on the scheme’s list of products. Use the eligibility checker below to ensure your containers are eligible.

  • Display the refund mark* (e.g. “10c refund at collection depots/points in participating State/Territory of purchase”)

  • *Manufacturers of wine and spirits in Queensland have until January 2027 to stamp their labels with the 10-cent refund symbol. Eligible glass wine and spirit bottles may be returned for a refund without the 10-cent mark during this grace period. Check out my FAQs for more info!

I’m not, yellow bin me!

There are some beverage containers that are not eligible for a refund. In Queensland, generally excluded containers are those that are less than 150ml and greater than 3L

Excluded containers include:

  • Plain milk containers of all sizes including plant-based milk substitutes

  • Containers 1L or more that contained flavoured milk, pure fruit or vegetable juice, cask wine or cask water

  • Concentrated/undiluted cordial or syrup containers

  • Sachets above 250ml that have contained wine

  • Registered health tonics

Not in Queensland? More info for WA and NSW below!

Still not sure? Check the eligibility of your containers by:

  • Checking the barcode online using the Containers for Change website here

  • Scanning the barcode on mobile using the Containers for Change QLD app

Don’t forget Step 3: Send me a message or a pic, so I can say thank you!

STEP 2

Once you have your collection, simply donate them to my cause.

How? Well, there are a few options! Have a look and choose what works best for you.

Donate directly in QLD, WA or NSW

Contribute to my cause - and save me and my mum a lot of time - just by taking your containers directly to a site for processing, thank you!

What’s eligible, and where to go, depends on your location. Where are you?
